Description
We are a small modern commercial printer based just outside of the
city of Gloucester. Our small format products are printed on a modern
computer controlled full colour landscape Hamada lithographic printing
press or on a Xerox Docucolor digital press. On a good day we can
produce about 2 tonnes of high quality full colour printed material!
We've
got a lot of experience printing, but the 'net is still quite new to
us, so your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve our on-line
service would be really appreciated. Like the vast majority of UK printers, we take our responsibilities to our employees and to the environment very seriously:
- solvents - installing new technology has reduced the use of solvents down to a tiny level.
- inks - we made the switch to high quality vegetable oil based inks in 2005.
- paper
- over 98% of the paper we use is now FSC approved. There are a few
speciality papers that are not yet FSC approved and we are updating the
site to clearly show paper specific environmental information. We also
offer a recycled alternative for business stationery. We do have an
excellent recycled alternative for promotional print and will be adding
this as an option to the site shortly.
- recycling - all waste paper is collected and recycled by a local contractor.
- waste disposal
- all of the "non office" waste that we create is collected and
processed by a government approved & registered waste processing
company. Sadly for them, this is now a rare occurrence as automation
and new technology has significantly reduced the amount created.
We're
nothing special, all responsible UK printers will have similar
