And you thought there were only 4 aces!

With so many different print options available within CD manufacture, we thought you may find it helpful to have a brief overview of each:

Thermal Printing:
A thermal printer uses heat presure to fix your image on to the print surface of the CD, leaving a black print on the silver of the disc. The resulting is a waterproof and scratchproof print. It is a quick and cost effective solution for smaller orders up to 500 discs. It is an ideal solution for those who want only text and perhaps a logo, giving a very professional look.

Screen Printing:
Screen printing is the standard method of commercial disc printing for larger orders of 500+. If you look at software or music CD in your collection, it is most likely that it has been screen printed. Screen printed discs can have from one colour to full colour.

Litho /Offset Printing:
Litho printing, also known as offset printing, is the best onbody print available. Photographic images, skin tones, full colour graphics and text are all at best quality when litho printed. Text can be printed as small as 5 point without any quality loss. A litho printed disc is identifiable by its very smooth surface. This process is recommended for photographic work or where complex shading and tints are required
